Circular Economy Huon

A recent meeting was held in the Huon Valley at which our EO was a guest speaker.

Circular Economy Huon is a passionate group of people who meet regularly to address sustainability and affordable housing. The THA was grateful to be invited to speak at their recent meeting on hemp construction within Tasmania. EO Tors Graham zoomed in to the event which was held at Huonville Town Hall on Tuesday 11th February 2025.

The event featured presentations and discussions with the hemp builders, including from Chloe & Dan whose Franklin Hemp House was featured on ABC’s Grand Designs, and Ros’s hemp build on Bruny Island.

The evening included a short video about the wonderful work of X-Hemp, (see an ABC TV news article here) Tasmania’s only hemp fibre processing facility; and a hemp construction Q&A session with local architect Andy Armstrong.
