Board meets Minister

Left to Right: THA Board Member and General Manager of Midlands Seed, Blair Jepson, and THA President and X-Hemp owner, Andi Lucas, visited Parliament House in Hobart on Thursday 13th June 2024.

They welcomed the opportunity to meet the incoming Minister for Primary Industries, the Honourable Jane Howlett and two of her senior advisory staff. Also in Attendance was THA Executive Officer Tors Graham.

A wide ranging discussion took place, identifying issues facing the industrial hemp industry and familiarising Minister Howlett with the myriad of hemp products available. Instructive feedback on related issues and potential opportunities were given by the Minister and her advisers.

Since our inception in 2010, our volunteer Board have worked hard to improve dialogue with ongoing staff and Ministers. They look forward to constructively moving the industry forward in future years.
