Hemp Happy Hour

THA members and guests were treated to a great get together on Saturday afternoon 4th May. Visitors enjoyed a tour of the new X-Hemp site … the only hemp processing mill in Tasmania, run by THA President Andi Lucas. Andi explained the many facets of the crop, its processing and the legislative hurdles ahead for this nascent industry. With a hemp G and T in hand, visitors asked questions, bought hemp clothes, food and beauty products, and saw for themselves a hemp wall being built. Twilight fell over the stragglers who snuggled around the fire pit trading agricultural war stories. A great day was had, thanks to everyone for your input.
